Agency Liaisons
Attend All-Hands Meeting |
May 20, 2004
|
| Project liaisons from
nearly 90 state agencies, boards and commissions
participated in an all-hands meeting May 12.
Titled "Clearing the Way," the session: |
|
|
Provided
an update on OAKS project activities; |
|
|
Described
the leadership and governance
structures created for the project; |
|
|
Reviewed
a four-part change management
plan that involves stakeholder
communication, process reengineering,
end-user training and benefits
management; and |
|
|
Described
a number of change management
activities liaisons will help
coordinate over the next several
months. |
|
 |
|
DAS Director
Scott Johnson and OBM Director Tom Johnson
represented the project's executive sponsors
and opened the meeting by discussing the importance
of effective communications and maintaining
a focus on the project's timelines.
The meeting also included a presentation by
Rod Kelley, a project liaison from Imagine
PA, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's ERP
project. Kelley discussed the role he played
as the Department of Environmental Protection's
liaison and offered a number of lessons learned. |
 |
To
help symbolize the commitment and collaborative
spirit needed for project success, each
liaison signed an agency OAKS logo and
glued it to a large sheet of paper to
create a collage. The collage is now
on display at the OAKS program management
office. |
|
| The PowerPoint
presentation used during the meeting is available
through the OAKS Web site (http://www.oaks.ohio.gov/oaks/Presentation.asp). |
