David White, Deputy Director of State Accounting
for the Office of Budget and Management, has been
named program manager for the OAKS project. White
has been actively involved with OAKS from inception
of the project and has served as chairperson of
the OAKS Business Owners Advisory Group.
"I've been an advocate of OAKS since it first
became clear that this project made good business
sense for the State of Ohio," said White. "I'm
really looking forward to taking on this expanded
role as OAKS moves forward."
He replaces Jack Hershey who recently resigned
his interim position with OAKS to pursue career
opportunities with The Ohio State University.
White will transition to the OAKS program management
office over the next several weeks.
White has been with OBM for nearly four years.
As the Deputy Director, his responsibilities have
included oversight of state accounting, EDI/E-commerce,
financial reporting, MIS, payment card, and training
divisions of OBM. He has also held a number of
positions at the Treasurer of State's office,
including Director of Revenue Management, Cashiers
Supervisor/Project Manager, and Cashier Supervisor/Cash
Manager. He is a graduate of Franklin University
and Columbus State Community College.

Friday from OAKS executive sponsors OBM Director
Tom Johnson, DAS Director Scott Johnson, Office
of Information Technology Director Greg Jackson,
and Kate Bartter, Chief Policy Advisor, Office
of the Governor. |
