Downloading the Adobe Flash Player
The Adobe Flash Player is a free application that
allows you to use
Flash content like review activities, menus and animations.
Flash Player is already on nearly all computers which
are used on the Internet. You may be familiar with Adobe Flash
Player under its old name, Macromedia Flash Player.
For questions related to the Adobe Flash Player
please visit the Adobe
support center. (This is not a State of Ohio web site.)
Note: Adobe Flash is not free; Adobe Flash Player is
free. They are different applications.
First, check which version
of Flash Player is already on your
computer, you may not need to download it.
Note: If you don't have Administrator access on your
computer you can't download the Flash Player. In
this case please contact your agency Help Desk or Network/Desktop
Administrator for assistance.
After checking your Flash Player version you see something
like this:

If the version number
is 6.x or less, please click the Player
Download Center link. If you have a version higher than 7.0 installed, you don't need to download the Flash player to meet OAKS standards.
In the Flash Player
Download Center please
un-check the checkbox next to Google Toolbar.
This is a third-party toolbar for your Internet browser and
is not supported by Adobe and not recommended
by the OAKS PMO.

Click the checkbox next to I agree to the Adobe Flash Player Terms of Service.
5. Click the Install Now button.
6. After you click the Install
Now button a security
warning pop-up window may ask if you want to install Adobe
Flash Player; please
click the Install button:
When your computer has
finished installing the Flash Player you'll see this message:

You may also see a
message telling you to restart your computer to
complete the installation.
